DollarMap answers one question well: what does this really cost? We publish free price guides and calculators for the things people actually pay for, from a new roof to a new puppy, and later how to save and grow what is left.
What makes our guides different
- The answer comes first. The first two sentences of every guide give you the number.
- Every figure has a source and a date. You can check each one yourself.
- We add our own math. Things like cost per year of a roof’s life, labelled as our calculation, with the method shown.
- No sign-up, no sales calls. The guides and calculators are free and supported by advertising.
Who we are
DollarMap is a small independent site run by two siblings.
- Sepehr Parsa, founder and editor. Sepehr is a financial planner who has passed Level II of the CFA Program and completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) course. He writes and edits our guides on cars, home repairs, budgeting, saving and investing.
- Parastoo Parsa, writer and researcher. Parastoo is a budget strategist with a background in tourism strategy and cultural heritage. She writes our guides on family life, pets, travel and weddings.
